2. Scope of This Cookie Notice
This Cookie Notice applies primarily to the Groxx website and other browser-based Groxx services that link to it.
The Groxx mobile application may use software development kits, application identifiers, local device storage, and similar mobile technologies rather than conventional browser cookies.
Information about data collected through the Groxx mobile application is provided in the Groxx Privacy Policy.
3. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on, or reads from, your browser or device.
Cookies may help a website:
- operate correctly;
- maintain security;
- remember visitor choices;
- recognize a browser or session;
- understand how visitors use the website;
- measure website performance.
Some cookies expire when you close your browser. Other cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them.
4. Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, the Groxx website may use similar technologies, including:
- local storage;
- session storage;
- scripts;
- tags;
- pixels;
- browser or device identifiers;
- consent-management technologies.
References to “cookies” in this notice generally include similar storage and access technologies where appropriate.
5. Categories of Cookies We Use
Groxx currently uses strictly necessary technologies and, with your permission where required, analytics technologies.
We do not currently use advertising or behavioral-targeting cookies.
6. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies support essential website functions.
They may be used to:
- maintain website security;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- operate basic hosting and network functions;
- remember your cookie and privacy preferences;
- maintain a session requested by you;
- provide functionality you expressly request.
Where permitted by law, these technologies may be used without consent because the website or requested functionality may not operate correctly without them.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies through your browser may cause parts of the website to stop functioning properly.
7. Cookie Preference Records
Groxx may use a strictly necessary cookie or similar storage technology to record whether you:
- accepted optional cookies;
- rejected optional cookies;
- selected specific cookie preferences.
This preference record allows the website to remember and respect your decision.
The preference may generally be retained for up to 12 months unless:
- you change your settings;
- you delete the cookie;
- we need to request consent again because our practices materially change;
- a shorter period is required by law.
8. Analytics Cookies
With your consent where required, Groxx uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the website.
Analytics information may help us understand:
- how many people visit the website;
- which pages they view;
- how they move between pages;
- how long they engage with certain pages;
- which website or source referred them to Groxx;
- general device and browser characteristics;
- approximate geographic region;
- interactions with website content;
- technical and performance issues.
We use this information to:
- understand website usage;
- identify technical problems;
- improve website structure and content;
- evaluate page performance;
- improve the Groxx experience.
Groxx does not intend to use Google Analytics for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where applicable law requires consent, Google Analytics is not activated until you accept analytics cookies.
9. Google Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics may use a cookie named _ga.
This cookie is generally used to distinguish website visitors and measure interactions with the website.
Depending on the Google Analytics configuration, _ga may remain on your device for up to two years unless:
- you delete it earlier;
- you withdraw consent;
- your browser blocks it;
- Groxx configures a shorter duration;
- Google changes the applicable technology.
Google Analytics may also use a cookie whose name begins with _ga_ followed by an identifier associated with the Groxx Analytics property.
This cookie may be used to maintain and measure session-related information.
It may generally remain on your device for up to two years, subject to the same conditions and configuration choices described above.
The exact cookie names and durations may change if Google modifies its technology or if Groxx changes its analytics configuration.
10. Google Analytics Information
Depending on configuration, Google Analytics may process:
- cookie and analytics identifiers;
- page and website interactions;
- session information;
- browser and device characteristics;
- approximate geographic information;
- referral source;
- technical events;
- performance information.
Google may process this information on behalf of Groxx under applicable contractual and data-protection terms.
Groxx does not knowingly send the following information to Google Analytics as analytics event data:
- names;
- email addresses;
- passwords;
- complete payment-card details;
- private Boss Mode answers;
- private business profiles;
- AI Crew conversations;
- uploaded files;
- identifiable This Week or Red Flag content.
Groxx configures or intends to configure Google Analytics so that:
- analytics is subject to consent where required;
- advertising personalization is not used;
- direct personal identifiers are not included in analytics events;
- analytics information is retained only for a reasonable period;
- analytics is used for website measurement and improvement rather than behavioral advertising.
11. No Advertising Cookies
Groxx does not currently use advertising, retargeting, or behavioral-targeting cookies on the website.
We do not currently use:
- Meta Pixel;
- TikTok Pixel;
- advertising retargeting cookies;
- cross-context behavioral advertising trackers.
We do not use website cookie information to show advertising to you across unrelated websites or services.
If this changes, we will update this Cookie Notice and provide any legally required choices before activating the relevant technology.
12. First-Party and Third-Party Technologies
First-party technologies are placed by or for the Groxx website.
They may support:
- website operation;
- security;
- remembering privacy preferences;
- analytics configuration.
Third-party technologies are provided by another organization.
Google Analytics is currently the principal third-party analytics technology used on the Groxx website.
Third-party providers may process information under agreements with Groxx and, in some circumstances, under their own legal obligations and privacy terms.
13. Legal Bases
Where European data-protection and electronic-communications laws apply, we use strictly necessary and analytics technologies on different legal bases.
Strictly necessary technologies may be used where they are required to:
- provide a function requested by you;
- maintain security;
- prevent fraud;
- remember your privacy choices;
- operate the website.
Related personal information may be processed as necessary to provide the requested service or on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, where permitted by law.
Where required, we rely on your consent before activating Google Analytics and other non-essential technologies.
You may refuse or withdraw consent without losing access to the basic Groxx website.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawfully completed before you withdrew consent.
14. Your Cookie Choices
When you first visit the Groxx website, you may be shown a cookie banner or preference center.
Available choices may include:
- Accept All;
- Reject Non-Essential;
- Manage Preferences.
Selecting
Reject Non-Essential means that Groxx should not activate optional analytics cookies in your browser.
Strictly necessary technologies may remain active because they are needed to operate or secure the website and to remember your privacy choice.
Continuing to browse, scrolling, or closing the banner is not treated as consent where affirmative consent is legally required.
15. Withdrawing or Changing Consent
You may change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time.
You may do so by:
- selecting the Cookie Settings or Privacy Choices link on the website;
- reopening the cookie preference center;
- changing your browser privacy settings;
- deleting cookies and local storage through your browser.
Withdrawing consent will stop future optional cookie processing through the relevant browser once the updated preference has been recorded.
It does not automatically delete information lawfully processed before consent was withdrawn.
Deleting the cookie that stores your preference may cause the cookie banner to appear again during a later visit.
16. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to:
- review stored cookies;
- delete individual cookies;
- delete all cookies;
- block cookies;
- block third-party cookies;
- restrict tracking;
- clear local storage;
- configure privacy settings.
Browser controls vary by browser and device.
Blocking all cookies may affect website functionality, including the ability to remember your cookie choices.
Browser settings operate separately from the Groxx cookie preference center.
17. Google Analytics Opt-Out Tools
In addition to the Groxx cookie preference controls, you may use browser settings or privacy tools that restrict Google Analytics.
Google may offer a browser add-on intended to prevent supported Google Analytics scripts from sharing website activity with Google Analytics.
The availability and operation of third-party browser tools are controlled by their providers.
18. Global Privacy Control and Similar Signals
Some browsers and extensions transmit privacy-preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control.
Groxx does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where required by law and technically applicable, Groxx seeks to recognize valid browser-based privacy signals.
A browser signal may not replace affirmative consent where local law requires consent before optional analytics technologies are activated.
19. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” setting.
There is no universally adopted standard governing how every website must respond to all Do Not Track signals.
Groxx may not respond to every Do Not Track signal.
You can use the Groxx cookie preference center to control optional analytics technologies directly.
20. International Processing
Information collected through Google Analytics may be processed in the United States and other countries in which Google or its service providers operate.
Where required by applicable law, Groxx uses appropriate international-transfer safeguards, which may include:
- contractual data-protection terms;
- data-processing agreements;
- European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses;
- supplementary safeguards;
- another legally recognized transfer mechanism.
More information about international data transfers is provided in the Groxx Privacy Policy.
21. Data Retention
Cookie retention depends on the type of cookie, its purpose, your consent choices, and the applicable configuration.
Cookie preference records may generally be retained for up to 12 months.
Google Analytics cookies may remain on your device for up to two years unless they are deleted, blocked, withdrawn, or configured for a shorter period.
Analytics information collected by Google Analytics is retained according to Groxx’s configured Google Analytics retention settings and applicable law.
Groxx seeks to retain user-level analytics information only for as long as reasonably necessary for:
- website measurement;
- security;
- troubleshooting;
- performance analysis;
- website improvement.
22. Changes to This Cookie Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice to reflect:
- changes to the website;
- changes to cookies or similar technologies;
- changes to Google Analytics;
- the introduction or removal of providers;
- legal or regulatory developments;
- security or operational changes.
We will post the updated notice at
groxx.app/cookie-notice and revise the “Last Updated” date.
Where required by law, we will request consent again before using a materially new non-essential cookie or technology.
